Recovery of the Year
Now’s the time to get your entry in for this year’s Recovery of the Year competition.
The competition is open to any operator in the UK who is PAS 43 certified and the winner receives a unique one-off coveted trophy and a night at the Holiday Inn, Telford together with two tickets for our Grand Charity Dinner on the first night of the Show (Wednesday 7 September).
The competition, supported by The AA, recognises excellence in the recovery industry. We need you to let us know if you have performed a recovery that you think deserves recognition. It doesn’t have to be a spectacular motorway recovery, in fact last year’s winner was of a long-distance recovery down the Eastern Seaboard of the United States. Andy Long faced all kinds of challengers and threats to repatriate a classic vehicle and he demonstrated not only his dedicated skills but also is resourcefulness in getting the job done despite a drive-by shooting, the worst snow blizzards for decades, a tornado and even an Ebola scare!
We don’t expect this year’s winner to have gone to such lengths but we are sure you have done a recovery which demonstrates you have ‘gone that extra mile’ for your customer.
The entries are not just limited to individual operators, we’d love to hear from one or more of the work providers. Has one of your contractors impressed you with a recovery?
We will need your entries in before August 19. Your entry will need a full description of the recovery with listing of equipment. We will also need photographic evidence.
Get your entries in to us by post to: Professional Recovery magazine, Bridge Road, Wellington, Telford TF1 1RY or by email to: firstname.lastname@example.org
