Allianz Global Assistance sponsor Business Seminar

James Baylis

A new and very welcome sponsor comes on board with this year’s Business Seminar. Allianz Global Assistance have jumped at the chance to sponsor the event and Ben Johnson said: “The Tow Show has become the highlight of the recovery industry year and it is a privilege as a business to be able to support such an important event. The show provides a fantastic opportunity for the vehicle recovery community to meet as a whole and get a closer feel for what manufacturers and suppliers have to offer.

“This year is set to be bigger than ever with record amounts of exhibitors signed up. We are looking forward to showcasing some of our recent developments and discussing our upcoming plans over the course of the two days. We wish all exhibitors, attendees and guests a very successful show.”

The Business Seminar looks likely to be well supported this year with some hot topics up for discussion. It is held on the set-up day on Wednesday 9 September at 2pm.

One subject that is very important to the industry is the recent Consultation from the Department of Transport concerning MOT Exemption and the proposal of an O Licence in the recovery industry.

ERRI and FOVRA have combined forces in their reply to the DOT and have submitted an alternative to the O Licence in the form of the Recovery Standard which ERRI consulted the industry on last year. Duncan Buchanan, Head of Operations Licensing and Roadworthiness Policy at the DOT has agreed to attend the Business Seminar and give a short presentation and answer questions from the floor.

The Business Seminar is free to enter and people can turn up on the day and register, but if you would like to be kept informed on the latest news then you can register your interest in the Business Seminar with us and that will save you time on the day.
