Business Seminar set for a lively debate

Business Seminar set for a lively debate
James Baylis

This year’s Business Seminar will be held in the Wenlock Suite on the set-up day of the show (Wednesday 10 September).

The Business Seminar is well-established as an integral part of the show with over 100 delegates attending. The aim is to address two or three topics that are relevant and this year is no execption.

We have the new initiative from the Federation of Vehicle Recovery Operators who are pushing for a member–owned management company that can pursue future police and Highways Agency contracts. It is not new but there will be an option to look at the viability of such a scheme.

We are hopeful that the Emergency Services Minister will be attending the debate and with the Fire Service now supporting Heavy Rescue Partnership schemes, this one could be a topic for debate and one that would hopefully lead to these schemes becoming a commercial venture rather that the present voluntary schemes. The Fire Service are keen to explore this further.

There may be further topics nearer the time that can be included but the one thing we need for a successful debate is stakeholder, whether you are an operator or work supplier, or a supplier or associated trade – the floor is yours and your attendance is requested.

Please contact Dave Gregory to book your attendance on dave.gregory@ppmedia.co.uk or for more information call Dave on 01952 415334.
