Tweet your wares!
If you haven’t yet begun using Twitter to promote your recovery business, now’s the time to get going! It’s easy to start a Twitter account. Visit www.twitter.com and sign up.
You will need to find people to follow. You can search for like-minded people on Twitter (though it’s sensible to ensure those you follow are in the UK) and follow them. Hopefully they’ll follow you back.
Whilst it’s good to use Twitter to promote your business, temper this with common sense. Nobody wants to read nothing but adverts! Vary tweets promoting your business with some general tweets, too. It’s best to avoid politics, as this can lead to some acrimonious twitter fights! And that’s the last thing you need when all you want to do is to promote your recovery business!
You have 140 characters per tweet. This sharpens the mind wonderfully! You can be creative and witty and informative, but only in 140 characters or less! Use of symbols like & and @ can help pare your tweets down instead of at and and.
